Lucie is a Discord bot with music, moderation, giveaways, roleplay, and much more. This guide takes you from zero to having her up and running on your server in just a few minutes.
1

Invite her to your server

Open the official invite link and choose the server where you want to add her:https://lucie.elxy.dev/inviteYou need the Manage Server permission on that server to invite bots. If Lucie is already in a server with you, you can also ask her for the link directly with !invite.
2

Grant the recommended permissions

The official link requests Administrator permissions. This is the recommended option: it guarantees that all of Lucie’s features work smoothly from the very start.
During the invite you can uncheck permissions if you prefer something more limited, but some features may stop working properly.
3

Talk to her however you like

Lucie understands three ways of being invoked:
  • Prefix! by default. Type !help in any channel to see her command menu.
  • Mention — mentioning her also works as a : @Lucie help. Perfect if you don’t remember the server’s prefix.
  • — type / in the chat and browse her commands. They work even if you install her as a user app, without her needing to be in the server.
!help opens an interactive menu with every category, and !help <command> shows you the documentation for a specific command, including its usage, examples, and aliases.
4

Customize the prefix (optional)

Does ! clash with another bot on your server? Change it with !setprefix:
The change only affects that server, the new prefix can be at most 5 characters long, and you need to be an Administrator to use the command.

Explore the web dashboard and support

A good part of the configuration also lives in your browser. Go to https://lucie.elxy.dev, sign in with Discord, and manage the servers where you have the Manage Server permission. And if you get stuck, the support server is always open.
