Something not working the way you expected? Here are the most common questions, answered. If your issue isn’t listed, drop by the support server.
Go through this checklist in order:
  1. The prefix. It’s ! by default, but it’s configurable per server with !setprefix, so your server may use a different one. If you can’t remember it, mention Lucie (@Lucie help): she always responds to her mention, no matter which prefix is set.
  2. Slash commands. Try /help. If slash commands work but the doesn’t, the problem is the prefix or the channel permissions.
  3. Her permissions in the channel. Lucie needs to be able to view the channel and send messages (plus embed links for her embeds). Check both the channel permissions and her role’s permissions.
The mention works as a fallback: if the prefix was changed and nobody remembers it, @Lucie help gets you out of trouble.
Most likely Lucie was invited without the application commands permission. The fix is to re-invite her with the official link, which already includes everything she needs:https://lucie.elxy.dev/inviteThere’s no need to kick her first: just authorize her again with that link and the slash commands will show up shortly (Discord can take a few minutes to refresh them; restarting your Discord client also helps).
Check the basics:
  • You need to be in a voice channel so Lucie knows where to play. Join first, then use !play.
  • Lucie needs the Connect and Speak permissions in that voice channel.
  • Make sure you haven’t turned the bot’s volume down in your own Discord client (right-click Lucie in the voice channel).
If all of that checks out and there’s still no sound, report it in the support server.
The system records the latest activity in each channel: deleted messages, edits (before and after) and removed reactions.
  • Everything lives in memory only: nothing is ever written to disk. That’s privacy by design.
  • Each record expires after 2 hours. If the bot restarts, the snipes are lost too.
  • At most 25 snipes per channel of each type are kept.
  • Bots and direct messages are ignored.
  • Moderation bulk deletions (purges) are not recoverable: whatever a purge removes won’t come back with !snipe.
With !clearsnipe you can wipe your own trail from the channel instantly, no permissions or waiting required. With !clearsnipe all (Manage Messages permission) the entire channel is cleared.
With the !setprefix command:
The change applies per server. And don’t worry: even if you change the prefix, Lucie always keeps responding to her mention and to slash commands, so you’ll never lose your way of talking to her.
It can be one of two things, and they’re different:
  • You’re missing them. Moderation commands require the native Discord permission (Moderate Members, Ban Members…) or a moderation role authorized from the web dashboard.
  • Lucie is missing them. Even if you have permission, she needs her own to carry it out. The Permissions page has the full table by feature.
If the command only fails with certain people, it isn’t permissions but hierarchy: Lucie can’t sanction anyone whose role sits above hers.
Yes, with slash commands. If you install her as a user app from the official link, her commands come with you to any server and even to direct messages, even if Lucie isn’t a member of that server.Commands that depend on the server (moderation, giveaways, music) only work where she’s present, for obvious reasons.
The documentation is in Spanish, English and Portuguese: switch it in the selector at the top left. The bot replies in Spanish, and the web dashboard is also available in all three languages.
You have three options:
  • !help — the interactive menu with every command category; !help <command> gives you the documentation for a specific one. Aliases: h, ayuda, comandos.
  • !soporte — gives you the direct link to the support server. Aliases: support, servidor.
  • Support server — direct support, news and bug reports.
You also have the web dashboard to manage your server’s configuration.
